We don't currently plan to integrate with QNAP like Netgear, however you could use VMWare ESXI 4/5 to run Enterprise Local Cloud on QNAP with iSCSI protocol for storage.
I have notified the local cloud product team about your request for a QNAP integration.
Thanks for your consideration,
We don't have any short-term plans for this. Right now we're working on a Storage Sync client for Synology.
I will, however, note you as an additional request for QNAP.
Thanks for taking the time to post.
are there any plans to support QNAP NAS devices?
If yes, when do you plan to support QNAP products.
Over the past many years, I have used NAS from Buffalo, Lenovo, Synology and my very first "NAS box" was from Netgear.
I have been using also Qnap since several years and to my opinion, their NAS is by far the most advanced and reliable.
Using a VMWARE storage sync tool is sure an option, but utilizing the QNAP QTS4.1 sure would be a better choice.
thank you for your consideration :-)
Or anyone else from Egnyte. Is there any updated on your plans to support other NAS vendors? Are you still limited to Netgear or is there some other way to create file sync with a QNAP device?
I am sorry, but there has not been much development on this front. We still stick with Netgear device for using Storage Sync. I will check with the product team if there are any moves being made to have Egnyte work with other set of NAS devices.
