we have enable user notification for new releases of Desktop App. This works fine for windows, but not for MAC. Is there a kind of newsletter to get the new release information in a timely manner?
Hi @ryder, thanks for bringing this to our attention. We have two places that list release updates.
1. Updates section - this is your best bet for getting the info you're describing. You can follow this section and receive alerts of the new releases, for example the most recent post is about Desktop App 3.3 from May 10th. These are generally more in-depth than the new product features section.
2. New product features - by subscribing here, you will get updates of new features and releases via an alert in your email. This includes larger product or integration updates so it does not include every change. These are briefer updates; for more in-depth or technical updates, see the release notes in the what's new section.
Please note that neither of the above are product specific (ex. Web UI, Desktop App, etc.). Hope one of these satisfies what you need!
Hi @ryder, we are looking into the Mac in-product notifications for you. Sorry my initial response did not accurately answer your question. On it now!
We update installers' default download URL and publish a new article under Annoucements / Patch Releases on the day that we release a new version of the Desktop App. Many users (mostly admins), who subcribe to these sections on our Helpdesk will automatically receive an email whenever a new article is added.
Our product team manage in-product upgrade notifications from the backend. We normally turn them on 2-3 weeks after the officialy release date for various reasons. There are cases where we turn it on for selected domains only or for every domains immediately right after the release. Like the last Windows release, we turn on upgrade notifications on the same day with the release date.
