Egnyte Connect Up to date - notification sticky, won't disappear

A small notification appears in the top left corner of the display that overlays any and every window on my laptop that says, "Egnyte Connect Up to date" Browsers, native programs, it doesn't matter.  It will not go away and is not clickable, but obscures what lies beneath.

How can I remove this pesky notification?

Hi Jon,

Could you follow the below-given steps to kill the Egnyte Connect steps and see if the issue goes away?

To summon the Task Manager, press Ctrl+Shift+Esc.

Click the Processes tab.

Right Click on Egnyte Connect 32 bit process

Click on End

Please check and let me know if this helps and also try to restart your system once.

Yes, most irritating, but goes away after a while, this time before I tried ending the process as suggested. Since mouse clicks go through, clicking on it as an attempt to get rid of it goes to the application underneith (and killed one of the running apps today). :-(

Hi @Klas and @Jon Ericson1,

What you saw appeared to be a Windows 10/8 problem.

As suggested by Rahul, please try exiting and starting the Desktop App again. You can also try pressing <Windows> + D which minimizes all windows, and than a second time to maximize them again.

Best,

Tri

Re: Egnyte Connect Up to date - notification sticky, won't disappear

This is still an issue, as I recently left desktop sync and moved to this version with everything on the cloud.  Why is there no solution?  Going into task manager to kill stuff isn't a long term fix and I still don't see anything that works in the thread to change it.

The most frustrating thing is that it will go away *sometimes*, but for no discernable reason.

Help?
