Egnyte Connect: no cut-and-paste passwords, stuck on "Setting up your drive"

We are encountering a couple of issue with Egnyte Connect:

1) It would be very helpful is Egnyte allowed you to cut-and-paste your password into Egnyte Connect when you are setting up a new drive.  Typing in a complex password is a pain

2) When configuring a drive for the first time, the "Sign in... Setting up your drive..." windows never disappears.  The drive mounts but the window remains open.  Looking at the Managed Drives shows the drive perpetually "Connecting".

Re: Egnyte Connect: no cut-and-paste passwords, stuck on "Setting up your drive"

Hi @Macninja

Please see answers below:

1.

Desktop App (Windows) supports both [Ctrl + V] or [right-click Paste] in the password field.

Desktop App (macOS) supports [right-click Paste] in the password field, but not [Command + V].

2. Desktop App may be running into a 3rd-party security software interference. We recommend creating both Program and Folder exceptions for Desktop App on any security related software you may have running in the background:

Windows:
%localappdata%\EgnyteDrive
C:\Program Files (x86)\Egnyte Connect

macOS:
/Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Egnyte Connect

------

Other things to try:

1. Quit/Restart Desktop app
2. Check system uptime; restart system if necessary
3. Please contact our Support Team at support@egnyte.com if you continue to experience any of the aforementioned issues.

Regards,
Nars
