Hi Nick,

Thank you for writing to us.

Egnyte offers a variety of reports for customers to audit their data and find information about the file access. Running the File Audit report will give you the information which has been accessed. It can be assumed that the rest of the files not showing up in the report remain untouched.

However, this would be more beneficial only if you schedule these queries to run on a regular basis. The existing reports will only allow you to audit the data for the last 90 days.

Sadly, there is straight way to find out the data which has not been accessed.

Let me know if you have more questions.

Thanks

Where can I locate the File Audit Report?

Does this allow me to check last accessed for example 2+ years ago?

Hi Nick,

The audit trail activity older than 3 months is purged automatically. This means you will not see activities beyond three months at any time in a completed audit report.

If your Egnyte plan includes Advanced Auditing feature, then you should be able to find the Reports under your Account settings on the UI. Here is a small overview of the Audit Reports.

Nick,

The User Permission Report should be able to provide you this information. The reports can be run by the admins of the domain or the power users who have been assigned role based administration (if included in the plan).

Thanks
