Error messsage "Power Users are not authorized to use Desktop Sync

Hey folks, Newbie here...

I have 2 Power Users (maybe more) that are getting this message when trying to use Desktop Sync. Is this normal? (i think not) and if not what is the problem?

Hi @Chip Ehlers, welcome to the community and thanks for the question! 

At first thought, if you are the Admin, please check to see if you have disabled Desktop Sync under Settings->Configuration->User Types & Roles.

It is the first setting in the image below:

Let us know if this is not the case and then we can move to ruling out some other options. Thanks!

At first thought, if you are the Admin, please check to see if you have disabled Desktop Sync under Settings->Configuration->User Types & Roles.

Hi,

I am not getting below options in settings tab, Please suggest how to open this setting option.

Hi @Sumanth, from the screen you're in, there should be another set of tabs above those options. You're in the "My Profile" tab, but you'll want to go to the "Configuration" tab first, then User Types & Roles. Screen Shot 2019-06-26 at 8.37.08 AM.png

 

 

 

If you access Settings from the "pancake menu" option (the three horizontally stacked lines at the top next to the notifications button), it will take you to that configuration tab directly, as well.Screen Shot 2019-06-26 at 8.37.53 AM.png
