Q:

Today, document collaboration with Word and Egnyte requires you to use Word Online, but the local version of Word provides better real-time redline and formatting capabilities.  Will there by an integration with Word (local install) and Egnyte to provide real-time collaboration.  This is available today for users that use O365 SharePoint and Word (local install).  We recently migrated to Egnyte from O365 Sharepoint and our users were not pleased that they lost that functionality.   If you can share if Egnyte is going to work with Microsoft to support this, it would be good to know.  Thank you.

Q:

Is there a status update on auto-update for the Desktop app so that we're not needing to push out .msi files for version updates?

Q: Can you please explain more about the offline feature made in mind for those individuals that may be working remotely.

A: With the mobile app, you can mark specific folders for offline access. This saves the content to the user's mobile device. So users in remote locations can selectively have some folders synced with their mobile device. These folders will automatically get synchronized with the cloud as soon as connectivity is restored.

Q: Are we able to block mobile access to a select group of power users?

A: Today the settings are simply yes or no for Mobile use of an Egnyte domain. If this is a setting you would like to see, head to the community and submit this request as an "Idea." Product managers like to see these types of requests so we know what to focus on for our customers.

Q: What is the minimum version of Desktop app that started supporting auto-update?

A: Version 3.2 of the Desktop App for Windows is the first version that could update itself without requiring the user to have admin privileges. See here for more details - https://helpdesk.egnyte.com/hc/en-us/articles/360024522771.
