Ability to edit pdf files directly in Egnyte iOS App using iPad Pro

Hi there,

any chance this feature is on your roadmap? Many of my users are using iPad pros to keep track of their notes with OneNote but also want to be able to directly edit PDF files in Egnyte. Using 3rd party apps such as PDFExport or Adobe on the ipad involves many steps and confusing for the end user.

Thank you

Hi Sal,

We are doing a lot of PDF related improvements this year. When you say directly edit PDF files, do you mean PDF annotations or editing the actual/original text?

What we are working on first is the ability to edit PDF forms and the ability to view and edit PDF annotations.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Sincerely,

Steve

Hi @Sal (admin) Qui, Just checking in on Steve's question. "When you say directly edit PDF files, do you mean PDF annotations or editing the actual/original text?" Thanks!

Yes, thanks for reminder. Our users annotate and edit PDF's all the time. In order to do this on the iPad they have to use a 3rs party app (PDFExpert) and this creates a DLP issue for us because it involves copying the file out of Egnyte and into their PDFExpert app. Thanks.

This feature/functionality is on our 2020 roadmap we have some ideas on how to solve it. If we will have updates or ETA I will let you know.

Thanks
