When a user adds a comment to an uploaded file, all users who have access to the folder that the file is in, both standard and power users, are able to see the email address of the user who has left the comment by hovering over their username.
Our company provides tuition for young students so we would like to avoid unsupervised contact between students and other users wherever possible. If a user is able to view the email address of one of our students, we are worried that this could lead to unmonitored contact and create online child safeguarding issues.
The comments feature is a useful tool so we would like to keep using it, however, it would be great if there was a way to hide the email addresses of users who have left comments. When using any other part of the software, we can see the username of a user, but their email address is hidden. We feel that this suggestion would complete the 'anonymity benefits' of Egnyte which made the program so attractive in the first place.
