The Folder Size and Folder Permissions report are now both accessible to power users with roles that allow for running reports. The Folder Size report has also been improved to allow for reporting on up to 100k subfolders.
Export out a list of all of the permissions set on a specific folder or for your entire Egnyte account. You can optionally expand group permissions to users so that you can get a full picture of which users have access. Learn more about the Folder Permissions Report.
Secure sensitive folders by disabling folder permission inheritance. Once you disable inheritance for a sensitive folder, changes to permissions in parent folders won’t affect that particular folder, keeping the data secure. Learn more about Non-Inherited Permissions.
WebEdit and 3rd party integrations like Microsoft Office Online are now grouped together in an "Open In" menu. Sharing links and sharing with 3rd party integrations are also grouped together in a "Share" menu.
Administrators can limit visibility of group memberships to only the groups to which that power user manages or belongs to. This setting can be modified under Settings → Configuration → User Types & Roles → Power Users → can view Users & Groups.
Users whose primary language is German or Canadian French can now interact with the Web UI in their preferred language. Administrator pages in the Web UI will still be in English. This feature is currently in beta and can be activated upon request only.
Thwart accidental purges as the “Delete permanently” option in the dropdown will now turn red on hover. Upon click, a confirmation dialogue displays to ensure you understand which file or folder will be purged and this entails a permanent deletion.
Administrators can now choose to enable offline sync on Egnyte Connect Desktop App for admins and power users, only admins, or no users in their domain. This setting can be modified in Settings under the Desktop App section.
