The Egnyte Connect Desktop App 3.6 release for Windows and Mac has improved progress indicators that allow you to better track upload and download status. The release also gives you the option to “go offline” so that Egnyte doesn’t use your bandwidth - use this option when you’re at an airport, hotel, or on an airplane and have limited bandwidth that you want to use for email or web browsing.

Storage Sync 11.4 maintains user information for new and updated files when it performs a “rescan sync”. Additionally, Storage Sync now captures the details of file access and sends them to the cloud for inclusion in audit reports.
Admins can now define a target maximum private folder size for users. When a user’s private folder exceeds the configured size, both the admin and the end user can be notified. Admins can also exclude certain users who shouldn’t be subject to the folder size notifications.
