In this Community, members are encouraged to:

Creating and Managing Your Profile
Your completed profile helps build trust and allows others to identify where you’re coming from (literally and professionally).
Tips for a great profile:
- Upload a clear picture
 - Add your Full Name and Company in the public profile fields
 - Add your Job Title or Role
 - Add your location. You may make a friend in the same area. Plus, it will help your Community Managers suggest local meetups.
 
Community Engagement Expectations
The Egnyte Community is here for one purpose: to help each other succeed.
Whether you're troubleshooting an issue, exploring a new feature, or looking for industry solutions, you're encouraged to ask questions, share your experiences, and offer insights that could help others. No contribution is too small—if it helped you, it can help someone else!
What to Expect in the Community:
- Open Participation: Anyone can ask questions, post ideas, or start discussions related to Egnyte products, use cases, or industry best practices.
 - Peer Support First: Our members include both Admins and Power Users in a variety of job functions. Peer-to-peer support is encouraged and often the fastest way to get help.
 - Egnyte Participation: Egnyte employees may join discussions, provide answers, or offer official guidance when appropriate.
 - Response Times: While we aim to respond when needed, replies from Egnyte staff are not guaranteed for every post. For time-sensitive issues, contact Egnyte Support directly.
 - Knowledge Sharing: If you find or develop a solution, we encourage you to document it in the Community to help others!
 - Product Ideas & Feedback: Got an idea to help improve Egnyte? Submit it here. You’ll be notified via email on its progress.
 
To keep the Egnyte Community welcoming and helpful for everyone, we ask that you:
- Be respectful. Treat everyone with professionalism and courtesy.
 - Be clear. Include as much detail as possible when describing an issue.
 - Avoid duplicate posts. Search first to see if your question has already been answered.
 - Give credit. If someone helped you, say thank you or mark their reply as the Answer.
 
What’s Not Allowed
The following behavior is not permitted and may result in post removal or account suspension:
- Abusive, harassing, or discriminatory language
 - Posting confidential or personal information (yours or others)
 - Promoting unrelated products or services
 - Spamming the Community with repeated or irrelevant posts
 - Sharing copyrighted material without permission
